For the week of Jan. 29 - Feb. 2

This is the last week of second quarter and first semester. Exams will take place on Thursday and Friday. Both days will be 1/2 days for secondary students. Elementary students will also be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. There is an important meeting Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. involving the school board and LCS families. Please try to be there to hear important information regarding the school.

6th Grade MS Word
This is our last week for MS Word. You'll receive your final assignment on Tuesday. Class will not be meeting Thursday and Friday due to the 1/2 day.

Keyboarding
7th and 8th grade will be the only class meeting this week. We'll finish Lesson 9 by taking a timed test. This is your last timed test where accuracy does not count.

8th Grade History
We will reviewing Mon., Tues., and Wed. for the exam on Thursday.

10th Grade Computers
We will be having our final classes on Mon., Tues., and Wed. You'll complete one last assignment in Excel.

For the week of Jan. 22 - 26

Progress Reports will be going home Monday with Secondary Students. This is Spirit Week at LCS. Please remember to dress up according to each day's theme and to also bring in your cans and bottles. Anyone who participates every day will have their name in a drawing to participate in a game during Friday's assembly.

6th Grade Word
We are winding down with MS Word! This week, you'll learn about several other features in MS Word and complete your final projects.

Keyboarding
You'll be working with the letters X and Z along with the comma, period, and caps lock keys.

8th Grade History
We'll be doing a lesson on Plagiarism this week plus a research project in the computer lab. Meet in the computer lab on Wednesday and Thursday. Current Events are due on Friday.

10th Grade Computers
You are down to your last full week of computers. We are going to finish assignments in project 4 of Excel and squeeze in Project 5.

For the week of Jan. 15-19

No school Monday due to Teacher Inservice.

6th Grade Word
We will be discussing several features of MS Word.

Keyboarding
6th grade will be the only class meeting this week due to the day off on Monday. You'll be working in Mavis Beacon

8th Grade History
You will be viewing a movie on Ancient Rome. Wednesday's class will be cut short due to the eyeball dissection in Mrs. Chapman's room at 9:00 a.m. Current Events are due on Friday.

10th Grade Computers
You will be assigned projects in Excel.

For the week of Jan. 8 - 12

Progress reports for secondary students will be coming home Monday, January 8.

6th Grade Word
We'll be working with inserting in MS Word from another file.

Keyboarding
This week's lesson is on using the Shift key and colon.

8th Grade History
We'll finish Chapter 6 this week. You will have a test on Friday. Current Events are due on Friday.

10th Grade Computers
We'll be finishing up discussion of Project 4 in Excel.

For the week of January 2 - 5

We will be working with tables this week.

6th grade will be the only class meeting this week. You'll be finishing your self-test from lesson 8.

8th Grade History
We are beginning Chapter 6 - Ancient Rome - this week. Current Events are due on Friday.

10th Grade Computers
We will begin using Excel this week.
