For the week of Oct. 30 - Nov. 3

We are winding down to the end of first quarter! Exams are next week! So, we have a bit to do to get ready! Plus, secondary students will be participating in Math Carnival on Friday. Don't forget the Fall Harvest on Friday at the Bartsch's!

6th Grade Public Speaking
You'll be presenting impromptu speeches on Monday. I will have an object for you to describe. You will begin your preparation of your final speech on Tuesday. There may not be class on Wednesday due to the Health presentation and Friday's class will be cut short due to Math Carnival.

Keyboarding
We will be working on letters U, R, Y, and T

8th Grade History
We'll be doing work this week relating to China. Current Events are due on Friday.

9th/10th Grade Computers
We'll finish our discussion of PowerPoint Project 3. There will be no class on Wednesday due to the health presentation and Friday due to Math Carnival set up.

For the week of Oct. 23 - 27

News for the week: Progress reports for secondary students will be going home on Monday. Teachers will be attending the ACSI Convention on Thursday, so there will be no school that day. On Friday, students in grades 6 - 10 will be attending the movie "Facing the Giants" in Lansing. Chapel has been moved to 9:00 a.m. and you will be leaving at 10:00 a.m.

6th Grade Speech
You will be practicing your skits on Monday and presenting them on Tuesday. We will be presenting Impromptu speeches on Wednesday. There will be no class on Thursday due to convention and no class on Friday due to the movie.

Keyboarding
7/8th grades will be working on L, S, A, and ; and having their first timed test. 6th grade will not be meeting on Thursday due to the convention.

8th Grade History
We will finish up discussion on Chapter 4, with a test over the chapter on Friday. No current events are due this week. There will be no class on Thursday due to the convention and Friday's class will be shortened due to chapel.

9th/10th Grade Computers
You will be completing Project 6 in MS Word on Monday and we'll start PowerPoint on Tuesday.

For the week of Oct. 16 - 20

The Fall Book Fair is going on this week! Please take the time to visit the Book Fair and purchase some great books. Mrs. Chiesa-Call has planned many family activities to go along with the Book Fair.

Look for some special guests on Friday as it is Grandparents/Special Friends Day at LCS!

6th Grade Speech
You will be giving your Bible readings on Monday and we'll begin Chapter 10 on Tuesday.

Keyboarding
We'll be working with L, S, A, and ; this week.

8th Grade History
We'll begin chapter 4 on Monday. You will be visiting the Book Fair on Wednesday. Current Events are due on Friday.

9/10th Grade Computers
We'll finish up Project 6 this week.

For the week of Oct. 9 - 13

What a great week we had last week celebrating our Big Game Rivalry between U of M and MSU!

Keyboarding
You will be completing your self test on the letters H, G, I, and E. Remember to practice your good typing techniques at home!

6th Grade Speech
We'll be discussing chapter 4 today and preparing speeches in regards to the chapter.

8th Grade History
We'll finish discussing chapter 3 at the beginning of the week and review for a test on Thursday. Current Events are due on Friday.

9/10th Grade Computers
We'll be finishing up our discussion of Project 6 in MS Word. You'll be assigned projects to complete in regards to what you learned in class.
