For the week of Oct. 2 - 6

This is the U of M/MSU Big Game Rivalry Week! The special days are as follows: Monday - Declare your favorite team and decorate the hall day; Tuesday - wear a hat or decorate your hair day; Wednesday - bring your snack in your team color day; Thursday - wear beads or bracelets in your team color day; Friday - Team Spirit Day. We will be having an assembly on Friday at 9:25 a.m. to culminate the week.

Keyboarding
We will work with the letters H, G, I, and E. Don't forget to practice J, F, K, and D at home!

6th Grade Speech
You will be giving 2 speeches this week: an acceptance speech and an impromptu speech. We'll begin working on Ch. 6 on Friday. No class on Tuesday due to your field trip.

8th Grade History
We'll spend Monday and Tuesday working on projects for U of M/MSU Week. We will have a fire drill at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we'll begin Chapter 3. Current Events are due on Friday.

9/10th Grade Computers
You will finish Project 5 by Tuesday and begin working on Project 6 on Wednesday.

For the week of Sept. 25 - 29

This week is full of extra events taking place during the school day! We will be having a fire drill on Monday at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Picture Day is Thursday! Be sure to look your best! Yearbook orders are due on Friday. If you are planning to order this year's yearbook, please send in your order and payment no later than Friday!

Eighth Grade History
We will be review Monday and Tuesday for the Chapter 2 test on Wednesday. Current Events are due on Friday.

6, 7, 8th Grade Keyboarding
You will be completing your J, F, K, D, self-test in class.

9/10th Grade Computers
We'll be finishing up Project 5. You'll have 2 assignments based on the skills learned in the project.

6th Grade Public Speaking
We'll finish up discussing Chapter 2. There will be a test over Chapter 2 on Wednesday. On Thursday, you will be given class-time to prepare your extemporaneous speech, to be given beginning on Friday.

For the week of Sept. 18-22

I hope you all had a nice weekend. This week, we will be having our first fire drill Monday morning at 8:45.

6th, 7th, and 8th grade Keyboarding
We will be working with the letters J, F, K, and D, along with the space bar and ENTER key.

6th grade Public Speaking
  • We will finish our discussion on Chapter 3 on Monday.
  • Tuesday, we will review for the test on Wednesday.
  • We will begin the discussion of Chapter 4 on Thursday.

8th grade History

We will begin discussion of Chapter 2 on Tuesday. Current Events due on Friday.

9th/10th Computers

Review of Project 4 will be on Monday and we will begin Project 5 on Tuesday.

For the week of Sept. 11-15

This is our first full week of school. We will be having our Morley kick-off on Wednesday. Friday, we will be having a special Building Dedication Chapel at 9:25 a.m. and our Ice Cream Social will be Friday night from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

6th Grade Public Speaking
  • We will be finishing up the discussion of Chapter 1 on Monday.
  • Tuesday will be a review of the study questions for Chapter 1.
  • Wednesday, you will have your first test.
  • On Thursday and Friday, we will be working on Chapter 2.

6th Grade Keyboarding

We will be focusing on the letters J, F, K, and D along with the space bar and ENTER key.

7th/8th Keyboarding

We will go over rules and goals of this class.

Eighth Grade History

  • We will finish discussion of Chapter 1 on Monday.
  • On Tuesday, we will be meeting in the Computer Lab and will work on review questions.
  • We will be reviewing on Wednesday for the test on Thursday.
  • Your first Current Events are due on Friday. Look forward to a special treat that day!

For the week of Sept. 5-8

Welcome back to a new school year! We've had many changes during the summer! We appreciate all the help from parents and students to get the school ready to open! There are still things to work out, but we are up and running!

Elementary Computers
We will be going over rules and getting familiar with the computers this week.

Sixth Grade Public Speaking
We had our first speech on Wednesday! We will begin discussing Chapter 1 in the textbook and answering study questions.

Sixth/Seventh Keyboarding
We will meet for the first time this week to discuss goals and rules of the class.

Eighth Grade Keyboarding
We will meet on Monday to discuss the rules and goals of the class.

Eighth Grade History
We will begin discussion of Chapter 1 this week. Your first Current Event is due on Sept. 15.
